Guelph - 2021 - Farmhouse Reno & Addition

Here is a great example of a full renovation and addition, that we did on an original stone farmhouse. With extensive renos, this old farmhouse was transformed into a beautiful home that stays true to the heritage it represents, while being brought up to all modern standards and functionality.

Beautiful timber frame, naturally weathered barn boards, full bed stone and classic design is what make this addition special. A wide front porch welcomes you into the large foyer. Timber trusses, reclaimed ceilings and flagstone floors make you feel like you stepped back in time.

Every wall, ceiling and room in the original house was gutted and refinished. In the addition, you find a master bedroom oasis with ensuite, walk in closet, steam shower and plenty of rustic touches. Besides that, we added an absolutely gorgeous kitchen with a large island.

Through underpinning the original house, we were able to construct a 9’ high basement, creating a large rec room and mechanical area.

Another thing this farmhouse lacked was a garage. Now, with a 1000 sq/ft (in-floor-heated) garage space, this one-of-a-kind residence will truly be a home for many years to come.
