Drayton - July 2018 - Chicken Barn

Many of our agricultural carpenters have a wealth of experience when it comes to farming. Some were born on farms, and some run their own farms. This large 65’ x 400’ chicken barn was built for (and with) one of our own employees. Already a chicken farmer, the addition of this barn was needed to set his farm up for success, now and in the future.

This barn beautiful two-tone barn was built around the most up to date standards in chicken farming. Floor heating throughout the entire barn, large duct fans on the end walls, 12 chimney fans on the roof and an incredible amount of fresh air intakes. Sixteen poly overhead doors around the barn, providing natural light and exits for the chickens. Scissor trusses add to the ceiling height inside the barn.

In the front of the barn, you find a 14’ x 18’ attached office and utility room. And on the exterior, a beautiful stamped concrete pad under a timber frame porch, with a cedar roof.
